Over/under is one of the fun ways to do baseball betting, and it can be profitable as well.

Baseball is a streaky game, so it helps to know which teams are consistently hitting or pitching well to know whether they’re a good over or under bet.

Below are the top 2 over and top 2 under teams in baseball betting this season, through the first couple of weeks.

And remember, Pinnacle Sports is an excellent sportsbook to use for MLB baseball over/under betting, since they have reduced juice MLB odds.

Top Over Teams

New York Yankees (11-5 O/U)

Might the Bronx Bombers be back? The Yankees ranked third in baseball with 21 home runs going into Friday play, and second in runs per game.

A key to New York’s early offensive prowess is the unexpected strong start by Alex Rodriguez, who clubbed four home runs and drove in 11 in his first 15 games.

New York Mets (10-5 O/U)

The Mets’ pitching is viewed as the reason they’ve been so successful this season, but their offence isn’t too shabby either.

Going into Friday’s action, the Mets had scored six runs or more on six occasions during their 11-game winning streak.

With totals on Mets games typically around 7, that’s been enough to cash a lot of tickets for over bettors.

Top Under Teams

Cleveland Indians (4-10)

Cleveland’s offence has been as cold as the wind off Lake Erie, averaging 3.14 runs per game (27th in baseball) through its first 14 games. Jason Kipnis was hitting .224, and that was enough to lead the team.

The Indians have a decent pitching staff so as long as they aren’t scoring runs, they’ll likely keep going under the total.

Houston Astros (4-10)

Houston is off to a strong start this year, and its pitching is the reason why. The Astros rank third in ERA (3.00) and fifth in WHIP (1.09) after 14 games.

The Astros will have to keep pitching well to make up for an offence that was hitting a meager .215 (25th in baseball) early on.
