Tonight, we like the Blue Jays to beat the White Sox in Chicago.

Blue Jays/White Sox Betting Pick

Whenever the Blue Jays face a lefty, we take notice. The Jays haven’t hit southpaws this year as well as they usually do, but much of that can be attributed to an overall slow start by the offence.

Toronto ranks 12th in weighted on-base average (wOBA) vs. lefties despite being 27th in batting average on balls in play (BABIP), so we have to think there’s been a bit of bad luck for the Jays as well.

Chicago’s Rodon has decent numbers but one area he’s been poor in is allowing home runs. That’s what the Blue Jays offence does the best, so hopefully they can knock a couple out of the park tonight with runners on base.

Jays starter Aaron Sanchez probably won’t need much run support, considering he’s allowed 3 runs or less in all but 3 of his starts this season.

Toronto is well rested (2 off days this week) while Chicago is coming off a heartbreaking 8-7 loss in Boston yesterday afternoon.
