NHL Betting Picks For Tonight

1. Blackhawks/Bruins Over 5 -135 (Pinnacle)

The Bruins have been scoring a pile of goals lately (3 goals or more in 7 of their last 10). Unfortunately for Claude Julien, his job status is in jeopardy because Boston’s giving up a ton as well (20 goals in their last 6). The Bruins scored 4 first-period goals Wednesday in Detroit and still lost the game in a shootout. Tonight they host a Chicago team that scored 6 goals last time out and has been giving up goals at a high rate recently as well. It doesn’t seem like a lot to ask for both teams to score at least 2 goals here tonight, which would give us a push at the worst.

2. Canucks -110 (Sports Interaction)

Vancouver doesn’t win pretty, but they are getting the job done more often than not this year, particularly at home. The Canucks have won 6 of their last 7 games at Rogers Arena and is now 16-6-3 at home. That deserves a bigger edge on the moneyline than -110, especially against a Florida team that struggles to score goals and has lost 6 of its last 8 trips to British Columbia. Vancouver has allowed 2 goals or less in 8 of its last 10 games, and we see the Canucks winning another low-scoring battle here tonight.
