The Challenges Of NHL All-Star Game Betting

It’s tough to go 4-5 days without doing NHL betting, but you might want to resist the temptation of betting on the NHL all-star game.

With so much uncertainty surrounding the game, it’s pretty hard to find an edge.

“The last thing any superstar wants is to get hurt in an all-star game, so it’s not like players will be blocking shots and grinding it out in the corners,” said a Sports Interaction NHL betting analyst. “This game has about as much intensity as a Sunday skate at your local arena and goaltenders are often left to fend for themselves.”

If you are betting on the game, you’re probably going to look to bet over the total. Oddsmakers know that, so expect the over/under on the NHL all-star game betting odds to be pretty high.

“The most popular bet on the board is usually over whatever goal total we put up,” the Sports Interaction NHL betting analyst said. “But really, nobody has any idea what’s going to happen.”

Betting odds for the NHL all-star game will not be released until after the teams are selected Friday night.

Sports Interaction and other sportsbooks will also offer betting on the NHL skills competition, so stay posted for those lines.
