World Junior Hockey Betting Odds For Dec. 27

We went to various Proline sites this morning to see what the 2015 world junior hockey betting odds were, and we couldn’t find them.

Only Play Now in British Columbia and Manitoba offers world junior hockey betting on individual games.

This doesn’t really surprise us at all. Since there’s not that much parity in the tournament (there’s basically Canada, the United States, Russia, Finland and Sweden, and then there’s the rest) it’s almost guaranteed in a lot of cases who will win the game.

Sportsbooks aren’t offering many moneylines on the early games of the world junior hockey championship, either. Instead, they use puck lines (like point spreads) to handicap the field and make the favourite have to win by a certain number of goals in order for you to win your bet.

Today at Sports Interaction, if you bet on Canada, you need Canada to win by 6 goals or more (-5.5) and still lay $188 to win $100.

Your other options in this game at Sports Interaction are to bet over or under the total (number of goals scored in the game) of 8.5, or to take Canada or Germany to win in regulation or tie. You’re probably best not to bet on Canada to win in regulation, since you have to risk $17,544 to win $100.

Many of the other games today and in the round robin of the tournament are similar to Canada’s betting lines. Here are all of the world junior hockey betting odds for Saturday, available at Pinnacle Sports:
