Miami Marlins slugger Giancarlo Stanton is the favourite on the 2016 Home Run Derby odds, with Baltimore’s Mark Trumbo not far behind.

Pinnacle.com lists Stanton at +357 odds to win the Home Run Derby Monday at the MLB All-Star Game in San Diego. Trumbo is +389, followed by the Padres’ Wil Myers (+584), the Reds’ Adam Duvall (+587) and the White Sox’s Todd Frazier (+600).

Oddsmakers give Colorado’s Carlos Gonzalez (+742), Seattle’s Robinson Cano (+744) and the Dodgers’ Corey Seager (+856) the worst chances of winning.

Coverage of the 2016 Home Run Derby will begin at 8 p.m. eastern on Sportsnet.

2016 Home Run Derby Betting Picks

If you’re planning on betting on either Stanton or Trumbo, remember that they are on the same side of the bracket and would have to face each other in the semifinals.

Cano is a former Home Run Derby champion and may appear to present good value on the odds, but he’d have to beat Stanton and then likely Trumbo in order to even get to the final.

We recommend looking at the other side of the bracket, where either Carlos Gonzalez or Todd Frazier are guaranteed to advance to the semis (they face each other in Round 1). They’d then have to take on either Wil Myers (who may feel pressure to impress the home crowd) or Duvall (who may be intimidated by the spotlight) in the semis.

Both Gonzalez and Frazier pay 6:1 or better, and seem like better value bets on the 2016 Home Run Derby odds.
