Canada pays roughly even money to win the 2016 IIHF Under-20 championship.

5Dimes was the first sportsbook we saw to list world juniors betting odds. They listed Canada at +110, with the USA (+400), Sweden (+450), Russia (+500) and host Finland (+600) rounding out the top five.

According to the odds, Czech Republic (+4000), Switzerland (+10000), Slovakia (+20000), Belarus (+50000) and Denmark (+50000) might as well not even show up.

Canada is pooled with the United States, Sweden, Switzerland and Denmark. The Czech Republic, Slovakia, Finland, Belarus and Russia make up the other group.

We’ll post world junior hockey championship odds for group play when we see them.

5Dimes is one of your best options for world junior hockey betting. Their live odds are available at all times, unlike other sportsbooks that might just offer live betting during commercials or even intermissions.

Pinnacle Sports and BetOnline are other good choices for world junior hockey betting, since their odds are generally the best you’ll find. Bodog and Sports Interaction will probably offer up a lot of props if you’re more into that.

And remember, there’s more ways to do world junior hockey championship betting than just betting on who you think will win. There isn’t much suspense when Canada plays Denmark, but the game will be a lot more interesting if you take Canada -6.5 on the puck line. Over/under, live betting and props are other ways to keep the games exciting and hopefully make a few bucks as well.
