Blue Jays Odds Of Beating Texas Set At 70%

Oddsmakers are giving the Blue Jays a 70% chance of beating the Texas Rangers in the opening round on the MLB playoff betting odds.

Pinnacle Sports listed the Blue Jays odds as -230 to defeat the Rangers, which works out to an implied probability of 69.7%.

Toronto is such a favourite in this series that a Texas newspaper writer suggested the Jays tanked the last week of the season in order to meet the Rangers in the playoffs.

Toronto won four of six meetings with the Rangers, outscoring them 34-21.

The Blue Jays odds of winning the World Series also remain the best in the league, paying approximately +350 at several different books.
