Finland Favoured In World Jr. Hockey Final

Finland is favoured to win the IIHF Under-20 World Junior Hockey Championship today on home ice.

The host Finns are -143 favourites over Russia. The Russians pay +115 to pull off the upset, and the Over/Under is 5.5.

If you prefer shooting for a big score, you can bet on the margin of victory by either team at juicy odds.

It’s worth noting that Russia was favoured over Finland on the pre-tournament betting odds. Russia was +500 to win the tournament while Finland was +600.

Russia also beat Finland 6-4 during group play and is undefeated in the tournament. However, Finland has arguably been more impressive than Russia in the playoffs, defeating Canada and Sweden to get to the final. Russia struggled to beat Denmark in the quarter-finals, winning 4-3, before downing the USA 2-1 in the semis.

The championship game begins at 1:30 pm (eastern) on TSN.

In the bronze-medal game, the USA and Sweden both pay -115.
