Tonight, we’re betting on the Orioles and Yankees to go Over the total of 9 runs. We made that bet at Sports Interaction at -115 odds.

Baltimore starter Kevin Gausman has been under-the-radar bad on the road this year, posting a 5.25 ERA. He’s allowed 21 runs in his last 5 road starts and is struggling recently in general after a strong start to the year.

The Yankees’ Ivan Nova has been pretty bad lately regardless of whether he’s at home or on the road. He’s allowed 4+ runs in 7 of his last 9 starts, and 3 in one of the other ones. His only good outing in his last 9 came against a poor-hitting Padres team at pitcher-friendly Petco Park. He’s also got a ERA of 5.22 in 16 career appearances versus the Orioles.

This is an important series for the Yankees who could go into sellers’ mode if they can’t gain ground on Baltimore in the AL East. They’re coming off a critical win over the Red Sox last night on Sunday Night Baseball and we expect New York’s hitters to bring a focused effort to the park tonight. The Orioles have the top-ranked offence in MLB so if the Yankees can get a few off Gausman tonight, we should be able to clear this total, hopefully with ease.
