MMA Betting Popular At Sports Interaction

NHL betting and basketball betting get most bettors’ attention this time of year, but it was a different sport that drew all the action Saturday at Sports Interaction.

The sportsbook had one of its biggest takes ever on a women’s event, taking plenty of wagers on the Ronda Rousey vs. Cat Zingano bout in UFC 184 MMA betting.

“Normally, our biggest takes on women’s events would be in grand slam tennis finals — Serena vs. Maria Sharapova in the U.S. Open, say,” said a Sports Interaction betting analyst. “To take this sort of money on a UFC bout, and a UFC bout featuring female fighters — well, it’s not something we were expecting.”

Fortunately for Sports Interaction, most bettors shot for the big score with the underdog Zingano, who paid approximately 6:1 on the MMA betting odds. Rousey then won the fight in 14 seconds.

“It oculd be that the big upsets in Brazil (recently) made the underdog seem the way to go,” the Sports Interaction betting analyst said. “But after a 14-second bout, I doubt many people will be betting against Rousey next time out.”

MMA betting is a great way to make those MMA events even more exciting. There are MMA betting odds offered on all the undercard fights and you can even bet on props like how the fight will be won or how quickly the fight will be won.
