Ducks Haven’t Lost By One Goal In Regulation

If you’re going to bet against the Anaheim Ducks, you might as well take their opponent to win by 2 goals or more.

As of Feb. 10, the Ducks had yet to lose a game in regulation time by one goal. Anaheim’s record in one-goal games is an incredible 23-0-7.

Knowing stats like these (we found these ones at hockeyreference.com) can help you find great value with your NHL betting picks. When you make a bet, it’s all about finding the best odds possible. So why take Florida +108 to beat the Ducks when you could take Florida -1.5 +310 and go for the big payoff?

Other teams that are stellar in one-goal games are the Islanders (20-4-1), Canucks (12-2-3) and Predators (23-4-6).

The Penguins are 12-2-8 in one-goal games, so that means 18 of their 30 wins have come by three goals or more. That would suggest that if you’re going to bet on Pittsburgh, you might as well bet them -1.5 on the puck line at much more generous odds.

On the flip side, if you’re going to bet against the Buffalo Sabres, you might as well take their opponent on the puck line. Buffalo is a very respectable 14-8-3 in one-goal games but an awful 2-22-0 in games decided by three goals or more.

Another team that tends to be blown out when it loses is the Coyotes (7-16 in 3-goal games).

We already wrote earlier this year that the Leafs are great -1.5 puck line picks if you think they’re going to win. 15 of Toronto’s 23 wins are by three goals or more, including a 5-1 romp over Edmonton Saturday that snapped the Leafs’ 11-game losing streak.
