Eskimos, Stamps And Ticats Tied Atop CFL Grey Cup Odds

Each week, we talk to Sports Interaction to get their thoughts on what’s going on in the sports betting world, with an emphasis on sports betting in Canada.

Sports Interaction is a Canadian sportsbook that caters specifically to Canucks. They offer convenient deposit methods as well as a wide selection of betting props on many events.

Here’s our Q&A with them for this week.

CFL Football Betting

The Canadian Football league is back in full swing again. Who do bettors like this season?

The Edmonton Eskimos are the reigning champions but they lost their season opener against Ottawa in overtime as a 6-point favourite.

Now, after opening the year as the Grey Cup favourites, they now have some company at the top of the odds board.

The Eskimos, Calgary Stampeders, and Hamilton Tiger-Cats are all priced at +450 to win this year’s Grey Cup at BMO Field in Toronto.

Wimbledon Tennis Betting

It’s been a tough week for Britain, but at least bettors can take solace in the Championships at Wimbledon, the oldest tennis tournament in the world. Who are the popular bets in London right now?

Novak Djokovic is the defending champ and is looking for his fourth Wimbledon title, so it’s no surprise to see heavy support coming in for the 29-year-old.

Still, we’re taking enough Djokovic bets that you’d think there was nobody else on the odds board. Roger Federer is a very distant runner up in terms of betting action.

On the women’s side of the draw Serena Williams is seeing heavy action, while recent French Open champion and 2015 Wimbledon finalist Garbiñe Muguruza is also a hot bet.

Note: We posted an article earlier this week discussing 2016 Wimbledon betting and the chances of Canadian Milos Raonic.

PGA Tour Betting

Finally, the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational goes this weekend in Akron, Ohio. What does the odds board look like before Thursday’s action?

Jason Day is the favourite at +615 and he’s becoming very hard to bet against as he’s won seven of his last 20 tournaments.

He’s seeing strong support as are Dustin Johnson (+707), and Brooks Koepka (+1400).
