Stanley Cup Betting: Over/Under Set At 4.5 For Game Four

The return of Marian Hossa could solve the Blackhawks' scoring woes.
The return of Marian Hossa could solve the Blackhawks’ scoring woes.
There hasn’t been much scoring in the Stanley Cup final since Game 1, and oddsmakers aren’t expecting any offensive explosions tonight either.
The over/under total for Game 4 has been set at a rarely low 4.5, with the Bruins a slight -130 favourite on the moneyline at most sportsbooks.
The last two games in the series have gone under, with the Blackhawks scoring just one goal during that span. That came after a 4-3 Chicago win in the series opener, when the intensity level might not have been the same.
The over/under was 5 for the first three games of the series, so oddsmakers might be over-reacting a bit to the defensive nature of the past two contests.
With a 4.5 total, all that over bettors need to cash their ticket is for each team to score twice. A 4-1 game will obviously also get the job done for anyone who bets the over.
There are rumours that Marian Hossa will return to the Blackhawks lineup tonight, which could jumpstart a Chicago attack that also badly needs some contributions from Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane.
