Vegas Butcher Free NBA Pick

The Vegas Butcher, also known as Bodio, is one of the most-respected young handicappers in the sportsbetting industry.

He specializes in Major League Baseball and the NBA, but also releases NHL betting picks based on “reverse odds movement”, a term for when most people are betting on one side but the odds keep moving the other direction. This is typically an indication of “sharp” money coming in on the team that few people appear to be betting on.

Here’s a Vegas Butcher free pick for tonight’s NBA action. So far this NBA season, the Vegas Butcher has won 57 % of his bets for a profit of +17.1 units. Brooklyn Nets -6 @ Minnesota Timberwolves

This Wolves team is totally decimated with injuries.  Gone are Love, Roy, Budinger, Pekovic, and Shved.  Rubio indicated that he’s still experiencing pain in his knee, and his play has been very poor recently anyways.  Wolves are 1-6 in their last 7 games, with their only win coming against a tired Houston team playing on a b2b.  Their last game against the Hawks was indicative of the lack of depth that this team has right now.  Minnesota had a DD lead at the half but couldn’t hold it as they got dominated by the Hawks in the 2nd half and lost by 8.  Lack of defense continues to be an issue.  I’ve discussed previously that without their D, this team is just not good enough to compete on a daily basis.  If we ignore the game against HOU (remember, Rockets were in a very tough scheduling spot), Minnesota has allowed 104 PPG on 53% from the field in the other 6 games during this recent stretch.  And now they’ll face a Nets team that is 11-2 since Avery Johnson got fired.  This is a rematch for the Nets who lost to Minnesota very early in the season.  Nets seemed to be in control in that game, leading by 22 points in the 2nd half, and entering the 4th still being up by 11.  Well, Wolves outscored them 32 to 10 in the final quarter to grab a win.  Of course that game took place on November 5th, and these two teams are very different now.  While Nets are playing the best ball of their season, Wolves are just looking for warm-bodies to get through each game.  In addition, they’ll be without Adelman once again, as this team is now 2- 6 without him.  There’s a reason Porter is an ‘assistant’ and not a Head Coach in this league.  This game is a much larger mismatch than the spread indicates and I like Brooklyn to continue their strong play tonight.
