Big money is coming in on the Ohio State Buckeyes, causing major movement on the college football national championship odds.
Oregon opened as a 7-point favourite for Monday’s BCS final, but had been bet down to as low as -5.5 at Pinnacle Sports and Sports Interaction as of Saturday afternoon.
Oregon was still a 6-point favourite and 7 (with +115 odds) at Bodog.
The over/under, which opened at an astronomical 74.5, hasn’t moved very much at all. If it still doesn’t move up as kickoff approaches Monday, we’ll know the sharp money is on the under because everyone and their dog will be looking to bet the over.
Both teams are coming off impressive showings in the semifinals. Oregon whipped Florida State, handing the Seminoles their first loss in two seasons. Ohio State rallied from an early deficit to stun Alabama.
