The Pirates are knocking the ball around the park these days. They’re averaging more than 6 runs a game on their current 8-game home stand and have scored 8 runs or more in 4 of their last 10 games.

Tonight, they should be able to score a few runs against Rubby de la Rosa. The Arizona starter has decent overall numbers but his BABIP against is .230 and those numbers are going to go up soon. He’s also making his first start coming off a groin injury so who knows how deep he can go into the game.

The Diamondbacks stand a good chance of winning this game, though, because Jeff Locke is pitching for the Pirates. He has an ERA of 5.00 and he walks a lot of guys (an average of 4.5 per 9 innings.)

Arizona hits lefties very well, evidenced by the fact the Over is 23-10-2 the last 35 times the Dbacks have faced a left-handed starter. Locke is 0-2 with a 7.88 ERA in his 3 career starts against Arizona.

A lot of signs point to a high-scoring game in Pittsburgh tonight.

Good luck!
