Reasons To Bet The Warriors
The Warriors get Draymond Green back from suspension tonight, and that’s a huge addition to their lineup. Green had earned MVP consideration after his play in the first four games of the series, particularly his defence on LeBron James.
Golden State is a much different team when Green is on the floor. He’s also motivated, feeling as if he cost his team Game 5.
In Green’s absence, James went off for 41 points, while Kyrie Irving also scored 41. Golden State, which is 14-1 following a loss this year, should be much better defensively this evening.
The Warriors won the NBA title last year on Cleveland’s home court, and went 34-7 on the road this season.
Reasons To Bet The Cavaliers
There is belief again in Cleveland after the Cavaliers staved off elimination with an impressive 112-97 victory Monday in Game 5.
The Cavaliers have lost at home just once in the playoffs, and blew out Golden State by 30 points at home in Game 3.
The Warriors are now without big man Andrew Bogut, who blocked five shots in Game 2. Bogut had played limited minutes in this series anyway, but his absence could open some more space in the lane for Irving to drive the basket.
Cleveland won Game 5 despite getting just two points from Kevin Love. If he can step up his game offensively, the Cavaliers would be tougher to stop with a more balanced attack.
