Las Vegas considers LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Derrick Rose to be the top three candidates for this year’s NBA MVP award.
James, who won back-to-back league MVP awards in 2009 and 2010, is the betting favourite at +325 (meaning you would win $325 for every $100 you bet). Durant, the league’s leading scorer the past two years, is +400 to win this year’s award, and defending MVP Rose is +500.
Rounding out the top five are Dwight Howard (+650) and Kobe Bryant (+700). Howard has never won a league MVP award, while Bryant — surprisingly — has just one on his mantle (2008).
Other notables include Dwyane Wade (+800), Carmelo Anthony (+1200), Chris Paul (+1200), Dirk Nowitzki (+1300), Blake Griffin (+2500), Steve Nash (+8500) and Chris Bosh (+10000).
And, if you feel like Kyrie Irving can make an immediate impact in his first year out of Duke and lead the Cavaliers to the promised land, the rookie pays +500000.
