NHL Playoff Odds For Round 1 Series Betting

The New York Rangers and Tampa Bay Lightning are the biggest favourites to win their first round series on the NHL playoff odds, while the Nashville Predators are given the best chance of an upset.

The Rangers, who are the favourites on the Stanley Cup betting odds, are -240 at 5Dimes to defeat the Pittsburgh Penguins in Round 1 NHL playoff odds. Tampa Bay is -200 to advance past the Detroit Red Wings.

Despite owning home ice advantage against the Chicago Blackhawks, the Predators are +115 underdogs. Chicago is getting Patrick Kane back for the playoffs and is always a popular NHL playoff betting pick, but it wasn’t that long ago that Nashville was the Stanley Cup betting favourite.

The Vancouver Canucks (-150 versus Calgary) and Montreal Canadiens (-145 versus Ottawa) are Canada’s top hopes to advance in the NHL playoff odds. The Winnipeg Jets are +145 underdogs against the Anaheim Ducks.

In the other two series, the Washington Capitals are -160 favourites over the New York Islanders and the St. Louis Blues are -150 faves over the Minnesota Wild.
