Even if one of the teams is not in serious national championship contention, there’s no more-anticipated matchup in college basketball betting than North Carolina against Duke.
The two ACC rivals will lock horns again Wednesday as the Blue Devils host the Tar Heels.

Duke is 22-3 overall and has won eight of its last nine. Still, the fourth-ranked Blue Devils are third in the ACC behind 23-1 Virginia and 22-4 Notre Dame. Duke needs a win to keep pace with Virginia if it has any hopes of winning the ACC regular-season title.
The Tar Heels are 18-7 but enter this game struggling a bit, losing three of their last four. Two of those losses can be forgiven, though – an OT loss at Louisville followed by a defeat at the hands of Virginia.
Duke won its last meeting with North Carolina, blasting the Heels 93-81 to cover as 9.5-point favourites last March.
But records don’t seem to matter much when these two teams get together. The road team has won 16 of the last 31 regular-season meetings. And in the last seven matchups when both teams were ranked, the lower-ranked team won.
We lean towards North Carolina keeping things close. This game should also be an excellent candidate for live betting because of the likelihood of big runs, swinging the live betting odds drastically in each direction.
