Whenever you’re thinking about doing some Proline NCAA basketball betting, it’s a good idea to compare the point spreads to online sportsbooks like Bodog, Pinnacle Sports and Sports Interaction.

There are often quite a few disparities between Proline and sportsbook spreads on every sport, and college basketball is no different.

Comparing the spreads is helpful for two reasons

First, it’s obviously a good thing to get the best line on each game, since so many games are decided close to the point spread.

Second, since sportsbook odds change throughout the day while Proline odds remain the same, you can get a good sense of which way the money is going on each game by watching the online sportsbooks.

Sometimes Proline has better spreads

If you get the better point spreads on your games by betting on Proline, go with a Proline ticket. But if the point spreads are better at the online sportsbooks, it might be worth signing up for a sportsbook account.

And remember, online sportsbooks only require you to bet one game at a time to win your wager, while Proline will require you to be right on several games to get paid.

Duke at North Carolina – North Carolina was a 7.5-point favourite at Proline, but laying just six points at online sportsbooks.

La Salle at Richmond – Richmond was favoured by 1.5 points at Proline, but was actually a 2-point underdog at online sportsbooks.

Rhode Island at Xavier – Xavier was a 15.5-point favourite at Proline and a 14-point favourite at online sportsbooks.

St. Louis at St. Joseph’s – St. Louis was a 1.5-point favourite at Proline, but was steamed up to a 3.5-point favourite at online sportsbooks.

Pittsburgh at South Florida – Pitt was a 1.5-point favourite at Proline and a 3-point favourite at online sportsbooks.

Wake Forest at Virginia – Virginia was a 15.5-point favourite at Proline but favoured by just 14 at online sportsbooks.
